Authorized Bible Foundation

Faithful translation. Useful Bible resources.

The Authorized Bible Foundation is a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church of Evening Shade, Arkansas. We are preparing a careful, documented approach to word-for-word translation of the King James Bible into other languages and producing connected resources for Bible study.

AETS · Our central undertaking

Begin with the Bible. Carry the work forward.

Our central undertaking is AETS, the Authorized Equivalency Translation System. It follows formal equivalence. Its foundation begins with understanding the words of the Authorized Version in their biblical context, recording the evidence, and bringing that work through qualified review.

ABDS, the Authorized Bible Definition System, provides the planned method for studying KJB words across their occurrences and recording contextual definitions. That research would become part of the English Master Edition used by future language teams.

Approved definitions, concordances, and cross-references would remain connected so that readers and translators could examine the same supporting work. Reusing reviewed contextual meanings would give language teams a stable foundation, governed by biblical usage rather than personal opinion or popular culture. The aim is a repeatable process for faithful translation and connected study resources in English and other languages.

Supporting the work from source to publication

The ABF Bible Texts project maintains the KJB ABF Edition, a digital edition of the Authorized Version (AV 1611) based on the Common Cambridge Text, as the shared English source for our projects. ABF Bible Publishing aims to send Bibles worldwide free of charge, supported by donations, sponsored distribution orders, and purchases. It would use printing partners, including print on demand where suitable. Together, these responsibilities support the central translation and study work.

Where the work stands

The source edition is maintained, and the AETS framework and requirements are documented. AETS application development has not begun. Complete dictionaries, target-language editions, and publishing services remain planned work. The ministry introduction explains the intended method, resources, and practical approach in more detail.
